Problems with the War in Iraq.
Our nation is, again, on the brink of war. We have certainly been here before: in 1917, 1945, 1963, 1990, and now, again, in 2002. War itself, is essentially always the same. But, this time, unlike any other war we have ever been in, it will be the United States that is the direct initial aggressor. Iraq, again, is our target. But, unlike the Gulf War, when Saddam Hussein's army rolled into a smaller nation (Quwait) with the idea of taking their oil, their coastline, and their resources. Then, the enemy was clear. Now, however, we are searching for ways to justify our attack upon Iraq. That attack is a foregone conclusion. What has yet to be solidified, however, is the manner, and with whom we will be attacking. It is the purpose of this essay to discuss the implications demonstrating necessity in the coming war with Iraq. MLA format.
